Title: Steve Jobs Resigns

Steve Jobs, Apple’s iconic leader, is stepping down as CEO, the company’s board of directors announced today. Jobs, who has been battling health problems, will remain as chairman. COO Tim Cook will become the new CEO and join the board.
In a statement, Jobs said “if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.”

I don't know if he can be replaced, he is the chairman of the board but if his health has degraded to the point he can no longer perform the roll of CEO then I don't see him spearheading new product development any more. I hope he is able to recover, and I hope he enjoyed his work at apple.

Its the presentation that matters, being anal about the details of how it is presented is why they can charge a 200-400% premium. How the Google app icon appears on a iPhone/iPad is a tiny part of the overall presentation. If a bean counter was running apple then this level of attention would not be available.

Sure he took the lawyers off the leash, but when you have a product that is 99% fluff it is required to maintain the brand.

Fudge apple... hell even 2001: A Space Odyssey Craps all over Apple's supposed proprietary ideas...

Seriously... if apple was in the gun making business they would try and sell airsoft toys to the public for twice the cost of a real gun all while suing real gun manufacturers and claim they themselves didnt rip off the likes of john browning.
