so I'm confused...I saw they're introducing Sandman into the new SP3...but what else is going on? Thats suppose to be Venom right?

This is why i hate movies based on comic books cause they never follow what's suppose to happen. I mean the same thing was with Xmen 3...complete blew past the story plot/outline

So I saw they brought in Sandman into the mix..and I suppose Harry will turn into the Green Goblin (though if memory serves me right, the green goblin would be reintroduced as the hobgoblin) and then they have venom. in

3 characters which are are introduced on completly different time frames...I mean sandman was part of the original sinister six if I remember right...and the hob goblin was introduced around 1984....sinister 6 with sandman was introduced way back around 18-19 in the very beginning of the spiderman era...around 1965...and venom was introduced last with the whole secret wars era around 1987...

and my correction on this all...the secret wars took place  around issues #259 of vol 1...so that would be Oct or Nov of 1984...and the first appearance of the hobgoblin was issue #244 which would take place sept of 83. I'm surprised stan allowed hollywood butcher up the comic series this badly

lol it looked fine to me. I never read comics =P But then again, it obviously wouldn't matter how its done to someone ignorant to the whole thing. Meaning myself of course.

EDIT: I'm currently bouncing back and forth between 4 message boards at the moment. Some of my attitudes from various arguments are carrying over to different boards as I seem to be chaotically posting left and right. Excuse me while I attempt to restore normality.

I'm sure it'll be a good movie never the less. I mean the 1st and 2nd SP movies were great cause both incorperated an elaborate plot and storyline which completly made people get more into the movie and were less critical..

I mean the thing I'm interested in seeing the most is how they are able to introduce venom into the 3rd movie without really showing anything involving the secret wars. I mean the comic book really didn't touch onto the secret wars at first and left readers completly clueless until they released volume 2 which was a whole series of what actually happened. (still am sorta clueless on what happened there as well)

I'm just exciting to see how they plan on wrapping up the series. I loved the first movie the best though everyone critized it cause he didn't get Mary Jane in the end (which is how it was actually)

I can't wait till it's released

Um, F3ar0N, chill. Remember, comics are a lot cheaper to make then movies and to try to shove a few years worth of story lines into two hours of a movie would probably make it worse. Besides, we all just want to see spidey going around kicking butt anyways :)

What can I say...Stan Lee is da man.. Anyone catching the whole superhero bit he's doing on sci fi. Pretty interesting. I really havn't caught much about it but it looked cool.

**Watched a 2 disc special dvd with all the special effects and such done with Spidy 1. They have all l the issues and everything, and go through the main events and such..Hence the reasoning why i know most of the whole spidy series. Pretty sweet
