A couple weeks ago I posted about the Oculus Rift (http://www.fites.net/fites-news/oculus-rift-is-making-strides-in-the-gaming-world/), and specifically how it was integrated with TF2. One of the unique features was to aim in a different direction than you were looking. Right now only developers kits are available, and we will have to wait for final commercial versions to be available.
However, if you want to get your hands on a different FPS experience right now, and still in your (or at least my) ever loved TF2 game, then you might want to try out Sixense from Razer (http://sixense.com/tf2). At the time of this posting there is a sale directly on their site allowing you to save $40 (http://sixensestore.com/).
Check out the tutorial video direct from their site:
Team Fortress 2 - Sixense Integrated with the Razer Hydra! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca5E67vW4nw#ws)
Now this isn't to say that Oculus Rift and Sixense are two items to be used independent and exclusive from each other. Rather, you can totally use them together and get as in depth an experience as you can. Check out this video (http://youtu.be/07IwxUD8N8E) of Sixense being used with the Oculus Rift Tuscanny demo.
The bad news is without a keyboard you may lose some of your handy chat binds, or at least have to re-write some of your scripts. Either way if I see you wagging your hands around at your rig during the next LAN I'll do my best to assume it's Sixense, and not about midgets and horses.

The whole concept looks really cool. There are a few people using the Razer Hydra for MWO.
Has anyone here used it? I was thinking about trying it out but wasnt sure I wanted to pull the trigger.

It's...still...a...controller. NOPE!
