Some may not have noticed the new SMS button on the forums menu or the SMS Notifications submenu on the front page. We are currently testing SMS notifications for new event postings and info during the LAN Parties! You can pick the info you receive when you verify your number.
Right now we have 3 categories:
New Event Announcements
---Get messages when registration opens for events!
Announcements!
---Get announcements during the events! (For example: Leave your car's light's on?)
Tournament Notices
---Get messages about Start Times and Standings.
So, you need to grab a few winks during the event? Sign up and pick the Tournament Notices. (You can pick more than one!) You will get notice between 30 min and 15 min before one begins! (Pending your service's delivery speed.)
We hope to make this service more robust as things go along.
