« on: May 07, 2009, 12:26:52 PM »
With many gaming PCs being net-enabled--at least more so than gaming consoles--the computer gamer is seen as a big market for digital distribution.

Talk about mixed views. "PC Gaming is dead!" "PC Gaming becoming Largest Gaming Platform!" Personally, I don't think either are completely correct. While the whole 'pc gaming being dead' crap is far less accurate than it was a year ago, consoles are still pretty damn prevalent.

Moreover, Steam has played a very large part in the continuing success of the PC gaming market.

Exactly. Imagine if Steam didn't exist. I personally think that neither the console nor the computer will become obsolete in the near future. I enjoy PC, and console gaming.
