We won't need any for tonight. The map rotation on the server is all stock. Although, back to Karakand is the one that gets you Wake Island. I think.

Stock maps are more than fine... Metro Conquest and Rush are both good meat grinders, Bazaar SMALL Conquest with 32 people is my favorite thing ever, rush is also very good on that map... Seine Conquest can be fun, I don't really like that map very much, much better with Rush.  Damavand Rush is just awesome... I mean... base jumping.  Kharg is meh, good for vehicles, same with Caspian Conquest... Caspian Rush is pretty fun, better with more people.  Noshar and Tehran are ok, more vehicle maps though, ok with Rush... and Firestorm is good for vehicles. 

Personally, I prefer infantry play (or stick me in the gunner seat of a helicopter)... but yeah, we have a ton of options with the stock maps.

EDIT:  We can also do Squad Deathmatch, I need to win a round of that to get my L85... so we should definitely do that if we get 8 or more people.

With the current server setup and map rotation, its all set to stock maps on conquest small.  Right now I have it set to do an air map followed by a city / smaller map as to not stack too many of either type back to back.  So, it starts with Caspian, then Seine, then Firestorm, etc. and so on.  Metro currently isn't in there, but Bazaar is.  I can add Metro back in if folks want me to.  That map is usually a real love / hate with most people it seems

I can certainly change up the maps and game modes (although I would really prefer to stay with conquest) as requested as we play if folks want to though.

Metro is basically Team DM as far as I'm concerned... great to warm up and sight your aim in or try new guns.  I don't really mind it - Rush can be fun as long as everyone doesn't just go sniper.

We should definitely get some Rush maps in... have you played rush on Tehran?  It's really fun... same w/ Caspian.  They don't get played a lot but every time I've done them it's always been a really tight and fun match.

And oh yes, I am that guy that will fire mortars down range. Because I had one lucky shot that killed something like 9 people and I've been trying to recreate it ever since.

I agree with krakah.  Do NOT go sniper...he WILL find you, knife / C4 / repair tool / paddle you in the pooper and then tea bag your face.  Playing BF3 against him has taught me to have my head on a swivel rofl

What's so bad about origin now?  I have been playing BF3 for some time and never had any issues with origin.  I just only have it running when I am actually playing.

I hardly even notice it.  I launch battlelog before i launch origin.  Origin loads and then the game loads.  the only thing I have to remember is that to bring up the app's interface you press shift+f1 for origin instead of shift+tab for steam.

Additionally, I had a good time last night.  It was nice to play with everyone.  It was a little different atmosphere than I'm used to when I play.  It was alot more casual last night.  While theres absolutely nothing wrong with that, it was just different.  I even played as a *gasp* sniper last night there at the end of Seine.

It goes w/ out saying that most of vG has pre-ordered BF4 and those who havent will get it quickly I'm sure.  If anyone is looking for some more "serious" gameplay I suggest adding us on steam/origin/battlelog and hopping in our mumble.    It tends to be a little more serious and structured but we always still have a good time!


I dont consider us to be competitive.  We just happen to be pretty good as a team when we come together.  I never liked the competitive scene.  Seems like work.  Lots and lots of memorization: spawn points, where you can burn/cap the flag from, map location names, etc....  not to mention everyone uses the lame try-hard guns.    We are toying with the idea of a competitive team for BF4.  I think what we really lack is an elite pilot.  Would love to have one *cough* decpticon.  If you're interested in joining the team hit us up!
