It's time, it's finally time! The latest release from Chris Roberts, the mind behind game series like Wing Commander, Freelancer, and the hugely anticipated Star Citizen release, has stated that Arena Commander, the long awaited Dog Fighting Module, will be sent out to Alpha backers on May 29th.

My HOTAS sticks have been collecting dust, but I think this means it's time to function check and begin plans for a whole new desk... again. I'm not sure what I will do first: Crash into a rock, crash into someone else, crash into the hangar doors, or barf rainbows as I stare at the environment. All told, "crash" is ranking high on the probability meter.

I need to make a correction.

In my initial post I said this was available only to alpha backers, but I am mistaken. Anyone can still purchase a ship and get in on the DFM action. All alpha slots for the Persistent Universe are taken up, but there is still a way to get your pew pew on for people that have not  yet taken the plunge.

Did they state which ships will be flyable in the free flight mode?
