The internet at this place last time sucked big ones. HOWEVER....I am working on remedying that situation and things are looking good so far.

WoW was one of the things we blocked during the day along with torrents.  And yes I do remember people complaining about us blocking WoW during the LAN.

setup a laptop or a crappy pc with full access to the internet and either charge or not charge for people to use it for 10minutes at a time.  Emergency use type thing.

No offense to anyone here but we have about 80 people registered. But only like 15 confirmed and 14 seats saved. I am just wondering what people are waiting on personally.

The LAN is about 2 months off. Confirming a $35 payment for a 2-3 day event 2 months from now might seem hasty to people with a busy life. It is completely understandable.

As a KoS member and an attendee last year, we fill seats.  Some people might have a problem with so many of one clan but for a lot of us it is a good chance to see everyone.  Last year's 150 was my first FITES lan and a chance to meet all the people KoS and non-KoS a like that I have gamed with.  It gives members that we have down south and way up north a month or so after the start of registration to not have to worry about getting there money in on their seat to make sure they have it.  I'm sure no one was meaning anything about what they said... Tibs.... But seriously does it really matter?

Edit- When I say Tibs I just mean it to start crap.

Different hotel than last time. This is the Holiday Inn in Mechanicsburg where we had our first big LAN. It's the downstairs room with those crazy mirrored columns... And I can't comment on a hotel discount on the grounds that I don't know the answer.
