Crysis is powered by CryENGINE 2 which features dynamic day/night cycle, fully interactive enviroments, sunrays and diffuse transmission, real time soft shadows, soft particles, interactive/destructrible enviroments, volumetric clouds, and advanced shader technology. Crysis will be released by Electronic Arts later this year."

It doesn't look like a video game, guess that is a good thing.

That tank blast looks really nice. That's a hell of a difference from BF1942 with the general cloud of dust. To see the individual incendiary sparks and a bunch of smaller plumes from the explosion looks phenomenal. It's like they've gone over every pixel and double and triple checked it against real life footage to make it look perfect. Many kudos to the art department to get everything looking so realistic.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
