From the series that defined the modern military first-person-shooter, the Battlefield crew is looking to redefine it once again. Battlefield: Bad Company is introducing a new strategy to military shooters that could lead to the end of the shoot and hide tactic that many players currently employ. You won't be able to hide from a tank behind a building if that tank can just blow up the building!
Destructoid (http://www.destructoid.com/destruction-at-its-finest-a-battlefield-bad-company-developer-diary-63475.phtml) has posted a developers' diary of the next game in the Battlefield lineage, due out March 28th, 2008, highlighting some of the destructible environment features of the game. Regrettably, it is only being developed for the XBox 360, PS3, and PSP so it won't be a part of our LAN Parties unless Dice/EA has a change of heart and ports the game to PC. This is the first time a Battlefield game has been specifically developed for next-gen consoles.
