Thanks for the feedback Twisted... although lanparty gamers are into xbox.. the problem of TV's present themselves...
Most people don't wanna bring their 32 inch TV to a lanparty, as well as their computers and monitors.
I've been trying to put together an XBox LAN party for a while now and Pride pretty much hit the nail on the head. Here are the television problems as I see them:
1. Some people play at home on GIGANTIC hi-def televisions that they can't feasibly bring along to the LAN, or don't want to play on a smaller TV. (These people are spoiled princesses and can take a flying leap as far as I'm concerned.)
2. Some people are OK with bringing a TV, but they'll want to bring a relatively small one and not share the console with anyone else, this drives up electricity usage like mad when you get sixteen people involved, and it's hard to get sixteen people coordinated on a Halo2 (or whatever game) big team battle when they're spread out all over the house.
3. I've been looking around, and renting gigantic televisions (large enough to have four people playing comfortably on one console) is quite expensive to do. I can't rent for less than a week, and if I get some nice TV's (It costs $40-$50 to rent a 51 or 55 inch TV) I'll have to charge more than five or six bucks a head, or eat up the tournament prize money. This will turn off a lot of people.
4. The bitches are big and heavy, plain and simple.
The only good thing about renting is that R-A-C delivers and picks up at no extra charge. Score.

If you can come up with a solution to some of those problems, Twisted, I'd sure like to hear 'em.
Another problem with XBoxes at LANs:
It's inevitable, some d!ckhead/freak on a leash is going to want to play Dance Dance Revolution. They'll need to be beaten and then there will be teeth and blood to clean up.
