I just called the hotel to reserve a room. They had no idea who FITES was or any ida of any discount rate they were entitled to. I explained the details to the clerk and they still gave me the $99/night rate. Just an FYI for anyone else who calls and expects them to who FITES is and the details.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with registering your hotel room for the event. We have run into this issue in the past, and it's due to the fact that you don't talk to the local hotel when making the reservations. When you call the local hotel number (717-697-0321) and press the option for reservations, you get routed to a call center not the local hotel.
There are a few things you can do to still get the room at the discounted rates:
- Use the direct reservation link (http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/us/en/mechanicsburg/mdtmc/hoteldetail?destination=5401+CARLISLE+PIKE+MECHANICSBURG+PENNSYLVANIA+United+States&groupCode=FIT&execute=basic). You'll need to fill out the dates, but after that you should see the discounted rooms of $89.00.
- Call the hotel front desk (717-697-0321) try to get someone on the phone that is local to The Holiday Inn Harrisburg West. Then mention the FITES (you may have to spell it for them, because in the past they tried looking up "fights") event that is going on from Feb 25th-27th and that you would like to book a room at the group rate.
If you continue to have issues after trying the above, post back here and I'll get in contact with you to get everything cleared up.
EDIT: I just called the hotel to double check that we didn't fill up all of our rooms (and we haven't yet), and she verified that they know who we are and that there are still rooms open for reservations. If you do call the 1-800 number ask for IN HOUSE reservations, and they'll transfer you to someone local to the Holiday Inn Harrisburg West so they can hook you up.
