the confusion came from this:

5v5
30 Min Time Limit
First to 11; 21 round limit
1600 Start Money
1:45 Per Round
25 Sec Buy Time

at no point in there does it say 2 halves or "10 round halves, first to 11"

and i think also the confusion came from most leagues are 15round halves, first to 16 or formerly 12 rounds halves, first to 13. i understand the need to shorten the tourny as it is double elim and there are plenty of tourny's going on.

gl and hf!

Handling the CS:S Tourney this year, I'll explain why we have decided to go with the following rule sets for this tourney. First and foremost the rounds. As BrokenShadow has already stated, we are trying to host as many tournaments as possible given the allocated time frame to do so. I understand the question to diverse from traditional rule sets of 30 rounds switch after 15 rounds of match play, however with the anticipated number of entries we will be having for this, we could not fit it into the time given. The tournament will be ran as followed

Zblock 4.4 Add On with a possible TOTAL of 21 rounds played

10 rounds will be played from start
Teams will switch sides after 10 rounds and have a ready up to begin on opposite teams (CT go T and vice versa)
Another 10 rounds will be played with switched teams

In the result of a tie at 20, a 1 round playoff will be played for the match

The 1600 start money was added simply to speed up the tournament. With a shortened run of 21 vs the tradition 30 rounds, I felt it was necessary to get the tournament up and going full action from the start of the event. I'd be happy to answer any further questions you may have

OK, so let me get this straight.   If I pistol whip my opponent in the 4th round with my left hand and diffuse the bomb with my right big toe, will the sides switch and non-gravity mode begins with inverted colors every other minute?  Seriously, lets ask a real question.  Who want's to have fun at the LAN?

And to screw with everyone, we will bring back the 747 map for overtime except it's TSA vs the Terrorists.

So what you are basically saying, is the tourney is like the NFL, with 20 rounds, and if after those 20 rounds the score is tied 20-20, you just play out another round, winner take all event.

That would be a possible score of 10-10.  That would need the tie breaker.
That's Mr. Deception to you.

Now for even more confusion... Is it $1,600 or $16,000 start money? Regular is $800, everything I've seen posted is $1,600, but the max is $16,000... Just wondering...  :chair:

Will the Terrorists have to wear C4 underwear?
