oldie but goodie movies
« on: August 31, 2013, 08:34:37 AM »
Rewatching movies from my childhood has a 50/50 shot being watchable 15+ years later.  Some still work and it takes you back to the good old days.  Others not so much and you wonder what you saw in it many years ago.  Doesn't need to be in your top 10, or even top 50, but what are some movies that are older but still hold up today?

To start things off:

Flight of the Navigator.  Flight of the Navigator still looks great.  Even though it was made in the 80's, the special effects, actors, story, all hold up.  It's still a "kids" movie, but I really enjoy it.

Back to the Future (1 & 2....3 was OK), Independence Day, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, TMNT. I still consider Independence Day in my top five favorite movies today.

Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
